SIZE: Ashton has very good size for a 2027 Dual Threat QB at 6'0" 185 lbs. Strong throws made at every level. Very durable QB with lower body strength. ACCURACY: His throws are right on the mark, on target and in-line with his receivers. Showing good anticipation and timing of his receivers routes with good ball location. Consistent delivery with throws made of tight rotational spin. ARM STRENGTH: He's able to make all of the throws required of him. Solid vertical passing game. Throws made at long distance with tight trajectory. RELEASE: An over-the-top delivery with a tight compact release that gets across quickly. Works well to adjust the angle of delivery while working in tight spaces. Would like to see full extension throughout his delivery. THROW ON RUN: Good athleticism as he works to the outside while maintaining his vision downfield. Works well to square up with his intended target. FOOTWORK: Good mobility in and around the pocket as he moves well laterally in all directions. Good speed out in the open field. Quick footed, able to deliver from any angle. POISE: Displays patience in the pocket as he waits for the play to develop. POCKET PRESENCE: Good mobility while working away from traffic. Trusting in his instincts. DECISION MAKING: Picks up on his receivers routes, connecting with them while in stride. Very decisive. TOUCH: Capable of adjusting the velocity of his throws for a softer toss when needed.
